Kentmere Student & Open Photo Awards - Centenary Year 2006

The Kentmere Student & Open Awards have been an outstanding success over many years and it is perhaps one of, if not, the longest running competitions of its type in the UK. However, following the resounding success of the 2006 Centenary Year competition, it is felt that it is time to go out on a high and look forward at alternative formats.

Kentmere will not be running the Student & Open Photo Awards in 2007 as an international competition and will instead look at running selected local initiatives e.g. at college level. Although yet to be finalised, the winning images may be used to produce a 2008 calendar celebrating the "art & craft of photography".
